We are a small and diverse

congregation here here at St. Augustine's --

yet we know we are a pretty remarkable

mix of people.  
     
We have come to appreciate that we have a unique history.

Yet we have survived for almost 85 years.  
     

We understand that such a struggle

is not without meaning.

So we are actively seeking to live the gospel more fully,

to discover God's plan for us

right here in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Thus, through a new life of congregational prayer,

we are discovering an important role for ourselves -- 

one that is suggested in our biblical readings,

guided by prayerful revelation and

clarified in our earnest study.

We know that God is using our hands, hearts, minds

and muscle for God's kingdom every day.

Still, we are finding that this is not easy work.

And we realize that the problems we face will not

be solved solely by miracles. 

So if you've been looking for

 * a community that will respond

to your efforts

* a place that will embrace your ideas
         

* a church that realizes it does not yet
have all the answers
